Coto de Imaz reserva red wine, with Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja, made from Tempranillo grapes and aged for the minimum of three years (partly in barrel, partly in bottle) required for the "reserva" category in this designation. The result is a wine of intense red colour with garnet hues, aromas of ripe fruit, spice and a well-integrated touch of wood, and a balanced palate with soft tannins and a long finish. It is one of Rioja's benchmark wines for anyone looking for something with more body and complexity than a young or crianza wine, ideal with red meat, Ibérico ham or cured cheeses. Best served at 16–18°C and, if possible, decanted a few minutes before enjoying.
